Cursed and Calling sind Fabian (Gitarre, Vocals), Miklos (Gitarre), Ehren (Drums) und Chris (Bass). Post-Hardcore aus Graz. Geboren aus Songs, die niemand geplant hat.

Hardcore war nie eine Phase. Eher eine Grundfrequenz: das, was übrig bleibt, wenn man alles andere abzieht. Shows, Keller, Proberäume, die ganze DNA. Irgendwann schien nichts mehr zu gehen. Und dann waren da plötzlich diese Songs. Ungefragt, ungeplant. Und dieses Gefühl, endlich wieder zu Hause zu sein.

Kurt Ebelhäuser hat die Demos gehört und sofort verstanden. Keine langen Erklärungen, kein Pitch. Er hat sie genommen und gesagt: Machen wir. Am Ende gehen beide mit einem Grinsen aus dem Studio. Versprochen, gehalten. Das Grinsen hält bis heute an.

Es hat nicht lange gedauert, bis es ansteckend wurde. Miklos aus Ungarn, Ehren aus Malta, Chris aus Österreich: alle haben sofort kapiert, worum es geht. Kein Casting, kein Masterplan. Vier Leute, vier Länder, ein Proberaum in Graz. Jetzt bringen sie Cursed and Calling dahin, wo Hardcore hingehört: kleine Bühnen, im Pit, auf Augenhöhe.

Feel the Sun ist die Platte, die allen vier gefehlt hat, bevor sie existierte. Ohne Druck, ohne Kalkül. Ein Album, das im Dunkeln beginnt und sich seinen Weg ins Licht sucht.

Hardcore was never a phase. More like a base frequency: what's left when you strip everything else away. Shows, basements, rehearsal rooms, the whole DNA. At some point, nothing seemed to work anymore. And then, out of nowhere, these songs were there. Unasked, unplanned. And that feeling of finally being home again.

Kurt Ebelhäuser heard the demos and got it right away. No long explanations, no pitch. He took them and said: let's do it. In the end, we both walked out of the studio grinning. Promised, promise kept. The grin is still there.

It didn't take long before it got contagious. Miklos from Hungary, Ehren from Malta, Chris from Austria: everyone understood immediately what this was about. No casting, no masterplan. Four people, four countries, one rehearsal room in Graz, now bringing Cursed and Calling to the streets. To where hardcore belongs: small stages, in the pit, eye to eye.

Feel the Sun is the record all four of them had been missing before it existed. No pressure, no calculation. An album that starts in the dark and finds its way into the light.
